Mission: Kitty Cove Rescue, in Mount Pleasant Texas, is a 501.(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to helping the feline population in our area. Our goal is to help our local shelter reduce the cat euthanasia rate by providing an alternate placement until an adoption is arranged. Once an animal is turned over to us it doesn’t matter how long it takes to find them a permanent home, they have a safe place. We aid in the adoption process by participating in adoption events, advertising our cats in need on social media and will soon be displaying our available residents at our local pet store, Petsense. As of this writing, our organization has aided more than 500 cats through rescue, adoptions, vetting or TNR (trap, neuter, release). We will always find a way to help in some sort of capacity.
Financing: We have a small handful of supporters but need many more. As a young small organization, 100% of donations go to the cats and their care. We are an all-volunteer group with a love for all God’s creatures. Support can be given through volunteering your time to foster or transport, advertise by sharing our posts or donating monetarily or with supplies. What needs to get done, will get done; even if it’s out of our own pockets, but we would prefer to have support. Most of all, keep our group in your prayers.
Founders Philosophy: As founder of this organization, I confess I see it as a mission and part of my service to Him. He loves his creation and we are the caretakers for this world. I don’t want to disappoint Him. I care for “all God’s creatures, great and small” but this seemed to be an area of special need. There wasn’t a large enough safety net for cats and kittens in Northeast Texas. Kitty Cove Rescue is here to provide that missing haven.
